I called into the store to look for pipe heat capable, the operator asked me who I was looking for and I told her I’m looking for the capable, she transfer me to some number but it didn’t go through, came back to her I repeated again she hung up on me, I called the second time repeatedly told her I’m looking for a pipe heat capable, finally transfer to pumping department, the guy had a nice attitude, and he replied to my question politely. I really think is rude to hang up on someone just because you don’t know what they asking.

A fantastic place to get plants and such during spring and the following warmer months. I would suggest calling and trying to get ahold of someone though before arriving if you see something you want online. While the store may say that the product is in fact available in the selected store that often times may not be the case here and you may run the risk of coming out empty handed. Which can be a very big pain if you are on a time crunch.

I speak for my father. This is a terrible company, and the Victory Crossing location in Portsmouth, VA is a terrible store. My father made this company and this location hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales for outdoor power equipment, and they fired him after 10+ (16 years I think) years of loyal service. Customers loved him, his coworkers loved him, and they [Lowe's] treat him like this!!!!! I will never shop at this or any other Lowe's ever again. I will not condone this utter disrespect to the people that actually make money for the company. One of the previous managers told my dad that they will be getting rid of his position, but they were going to move him to another store or department to protect him. A new manager walks in and says, "the other guy was wrong. There will be no position for you to move to and we will be letting you go." Unacceptable. My father doesn't know that I am posting this and probably never will; he wouldn't do something like this, but I am because he deserves better. I have heard many horror stories from other people as well; people that get close to retiring and then end up being laid off or fired for stupid reasons. I think Lowe's just doesn't want to let employees retire.... If any of you value any sense of moral justice and are against companies that screw their loyal employees, I urge you to not shop here as well, or any other Lowe's. Go to Home Depot. Ace. Anywhere but here.
